AIGA NY member, former AIGA President, and Pentagram partner Michael Bierut will be a guest on WNYC’s Leonard Lopate Show Thursday July 5th.

Michael will be discussing his new book Seventy-nine Short Essays on Design with Studio 360 producer Julie Burstein who is sitting in for Leonard. Listener call-ins “a la Car Talk” are expected according to Michael.

I asked him briefly about publishing his first book, Bierut responded, “It is fun but a little harrowing to do a book. My favorite part of the book are the notes at the end, which I lavished enormous amounts of time on. Also, I think the index is fun. My least favorite part is a horrible misspelling that I discovered about one second after receiving my first printed copy.”
