In conjunction with the release of the new Herb Lubalin monograph, the Lubalin Center and Unit Editions are hosting a two-day symposium about Herb Lubalin in NY, titled Herb Lubalin: Then and Now.

Herb Lubalin: Then
Friday October 26
6.30–8.30pm

The evening opens with a short illustrated talk on Herb Lubalin by Adrian Shaughnessy, author of Herb Lubalin: American Graphic Designer (1918—81). This is followed by a panel discussion with friends and colleagues of Herb Lubalin, reminiscing about the man and his work.

Saturday October 27th

This is followed by a panel discussion with leading contemporary designers who have been influenced by Herb Lubalin, or who regard themselves as working in a tradition established by him.
