Take a welder, a wood burning stove and fifteen hundred bucks…add designers, artists, architects, project managers, developers, carpenters, painters, lots of coffee, even more dedication, and in a few years you get… The Guild, a design+build collective in Brooklyn’s Gowanus with studios in LA, Miami and Portland working with everyone from Dior to Nike to Murakami and the Brooklyn Museum.
Spend an evening with Jeffrey Hatfield and Peter Brown as they share how it all started and the road they built for themselves. Learn what it means to work in a collaborative environment, the joys and challenges of bringing together so many varied talents and what they’re building for the future. You’ll laugh. You’ll learn. You’ll ponder the benefits of that tablesaw you’ve been eyeing.
All event attendees have access to the museum after the talk.
