1/ Let’s Bowl

AIGA/NY isn’t only about talks; it’s also about action! Recruit your team and compete in our first ever Bowling Night. Invite your colleagues, your clients, your accountant. Because nothing bonds people like beer bowling.

7/ Sequence/Section: Taekwondo Park

Michael Manfredi and Marion Weiss will discuss their winning master plan and concept design for Taekwondo Park, in Muju, Korea. Korea’s rapid urban development has brought with it a renewed interest in the design of public spaces and cultural institutions, an emphasis on sustainability, and an awareness of the importance of preserving open spaces.

8/ Small Talk No. 3: Olimpia Zagnoli

Olimpia Zagnoli will discuss her design background, its relationship to the long Italian history of art and illustration and how they all affect what she is doing today.

9/ In Conversation: Patrick Jouin

International phenom designer Patrick Jouin will discuss the hidden process and techniques behind his groundbreaking work. His technical wizardry has made him a master of material transformation, as perhaps best exemplified by his revolutionary 2005 Solid polyurethane and resin chair series, produced through stereolithography (3-D rapid prototyping)

10/ Nordic Design Now

11/ Visiting Artist Lecture: David Carson
