2/Working with Jonathan Olivares
A self-described autodidact, Jonathan Olivares will discuss the process and thinking behind three of his office’s projects: A Taxonomy of Office Chairs published by Phaidon Press; Smith, a multi-purpose home-office cart designed for Danese Milano in 2007; and the exhibition “Useless: An Exploded View,” curated and designed for the EXD design Biennial in Lisbon

3/ On the Verge: Dennis Crowley and Mark Shepard
Join the Architecture Research Office for informal conversation, and a behind the scenes look at recent and upcoming projects. Founded in 1993, Architecture Research Office (ARO) is led by Stephen Cassell, Adam Yarinsky, and Kim Yao.

4/ Bridging the Gap: Francis Kéré
Kéré is known for his philosophy of “self-building,” in which he works with communities to develop capacity to monitor climactic circumstances and to use local materials. In a discussion of his recent and current projects, Kéré will consider new ways architects can exchange knowledge with communities and will propose new models for practice.
