4/ Brazilian graphic design: from modernism into contemporary
Brazilian modern graphic design had its start during the fifties and sixties, when the first Brazilian design schools were established. Brazilian designers Evelyn Grumach and João de Souza Leite discuss their work.

5/ Good Global Type: On Typesetting Chinese
Chris Cheng-Huan Wu leads a workshop on typesetting Chinese, including an overview of Chinese typefaces, current trends in type design and use, and basic principles of Chinese typography.

6/ 3D Printing for Architects
Ronnie Parsons and Gil Akos of MODE LAB lead an afternoon-long workshop that introduces advances in architecture made possible by 3D printing, presenting new possibilities in architectural form and production.

6/ Illuminated Manuscript from St. John’s Bible
David Allaway, Director of the Heritage Program for the Saint John’s Bible will show a short video introducing the Saint John’s Bible project and a presentation of the art. Afterwards, he will open up a volume of the manuscript and members will be invited to see Donald Jackson’s work up close.
