2/ John Warner, “It’s Funny Because It’s True. It’s True, Because It’s Funny”
9/11 was supposed to be the death of irony; thereafter we would once again “take things seriously.” But what if irony is sincerity and seriousness? McSweeney’s Internet Tendency editor John Warner will explore these notions by examining contemporary approaches to what’s funny and how we might make use of them.

5/ eBooks: A Designer’s Perspective
eBooks have become a major force in the publishing industry. This two-day seminar will explore the lay of the land—competing formats and standards, reading devices, eBook retail outlets—and introduce participants to the tools and techniques available for designing and producing ePub and .mobi (Kindle) files.

6/ Ken Barber, Drawn Lettering
