3/ Immigrant Heritage Week
Immigrant Heritage Week, established by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg in 2004, celebrates the histories and contributions of New York City’s diverse immigrant communities. Throughout the week, a rich collection of cultural activities including a special program of community-based interactive and informational presentations will promote and reflect the diversity of the immigrant communities in our City.

4/ Christian Acker: Flip the Script
Graffiti is one of the last strongholds of highly refined, well practiced penmanship in our contemporary culture. Flip the Script author Christian Acker systematically analyzes historic hand styles by collecting the work of writers from the most influential American cities and searching for the origins and commonalities that connect people, places and times.

5/ Adobe Muse: Web Design without Coding

Catherine Rohr of Defy Ventures, a New York City-based nonprofit that equips former drug dealers and gang leaders to launch legal and profitable start-up businesses, discusses how she has raised $2 million and attracted more than 500 executives who contributed 5,000+ volunteer hours and equipped student entrepreneurs to launch 21 start-ups.
