1/ AIGA/NY Greatest Hits
Six pairs of beloved New York City designers countdown the past 30 years of AIGA/NY events. Twelve presenters who lived it and love it summon forth AIGA/NY’s past three decades of programming.

2/ Dare 2 Draw
Come Dare2Draw with Special Guests Amy Reeder and Tim Hamilton, featuring 90 minutes of dynamic figure drawing, with live-action models & props and our signature Dare2Draw “Quick Draw” Contests, with all art done on Blue Line Pro boards. The pro art is auctioned for artists-in-need by Hero Initiative. Dare2Draw is a non-profit organization. The mission is to help provide networking, mentoring and promoting opportunities, for cartoonists of all levels, while raising money for artists in need.

3/ The Job Hunt

4/ Gourmet Typography Workshop
Every creative professional, including the most seasoned designer, can benefit from learning to communicate more effectively with type. These three sessions will give you the expert-level typographic skills and aesthetics necessary to master your typography, and visibly improve your work. Gourmet Typography Training will sharpen your eye and reignite your passion for typography.

5/ Deco Japan: Shaping Art and Culture, 1920–1945
Showcasing the spectacular craftsmanship and sophisticated design associated with both Japan and Art Deco style, this exhibition is the first in the U.S. to explore a little-known brand of pre-WWII modernism borne of competitive ingenuity and vivacious cosmopolitanism.
When: Ongoing exhibition though June 10
Where: Main Gallery, Japan Society, 333 East 47th Street, NYC
Price: Free Japan Society members & children under 16 free, $10 students & seniors, $12 general public. Admission is free to the public on Friday nights, 6-9 PM.
