2/ Christopher Hawthorne, The Plume: Architecture Under a Cloud
Christopher Hawthorne will discuss the prospects for architecture—and architecture criticism—in an era of economic uncertainty and ecological upheaval.

3/ 1000 TIME Covers: Thinking Inside the (Red) Box
Hear the secrets behind making a mass-market cover jump out from a crowded newsstand, and the power of the page. Arthur Hochstein will talk about his greatest hits, favorite never-seens, and all the in-betweens that went into making over 1000 covers of TIME Magazine. Introduction by artist Matt Mahurin.

4/ Above the Pavement – The Farm!
In celebration of the publication of Above the Pavement – The Farm!, Amale Andraos and Dan Wood present an evening on sustainable infrastructure. TenHoor will present the research on “The Architect’s Farm,” Adam Michaels of project projects will discuss the book’s design. Reception and booksigning to follow.

5/ Steve Lambert
Steve Lambert made international news just after the 2008 U.S election by distributing a replica of the New York Times, which announced the end of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is the founder of the Anti-Advertising Agency, lead developer of Add-Art. He will give a free public presentation.

6/ Penguin 75
Roberto de Vicq de Cumptich will moderate the evening in celebration of the publication Penguin 75, a unique book with Penguin book jacket design world, complete with commentaries from authors, editors and designers. Panelists include Penguin Creative Director Paul Buckley, author A.M. Homes, and illustrators and book jacket designers Gregg Kulick and Jim Tierney.

7/ Screen Test
Screen Test is a beautiful collision of video installation, performance art and rock opera-merging live performance and music video into a new medium. It explores new possibilities in the merging of dance, music, cinema and performance. The result being a compelling, poetic, and unique experience. The premiere screening will be followed by an after party at the Hudson Hotel with a special performance by Vangeline Theater.

8/ Night of the Living Dead
Ads and ideas are slaughtered each and every day by account execs, clients, focus groups, etc, but they’re never forgotten. The “Night of the Living Dead” pays homage to the fallen and bring some of those moneymakers (and duds) back to life. Come view the bloodletting and see what you make of it.

9/ All Things Agency
