7/ Arts, Media and Technology Visiting Artists Lecture Series: Aki Sasamoto
Aki Sasamoto works in performance, sculpture, dance, and any other medium. Her works have been shown in performing art and visual art venues in New York City and abroad. Sasamoto is also co-founder and co-director of Culture Push, a non-profit arts organization in which diverse professionals meet through artist-led projects and cross-disciplinary symposia.

8/ New School Arts Festival: Illuminating Noir
The New School Arts Festival is a first—a cultural showcase reflecting the artistic and intellectual energy of the entire university. The theme of the first festival is Noir, a cinematic style of shadowy expressiveness that had its heyday in the 1930s and 1940s. This exhibit which includes illustrations and media projects, represents and reconsiders the visual imagery associated with noir literature, theater, and film.
